Gender Reveal | Personal

Last week we found out the sex of our baby, so we decided to have a gender reveal with our kids. Our daughter was very adamant that she only wanted a baby sister, our son was old enough to know that a healthy baby is the top priority but secretly wanted a boy.

She was NOT happy!

There were real tears falling down her cheeks…

She came over for some mommy cuddles…and then ate the pink cupcake anyways.

Our family will welcome Jonah Jeffrey Busch in early 2013!

The Koch Family | McKinney Family Photographer

I am sure a few of you might recognize this family…they are good friends of my family’s, my son’s godparents and their daughter and my daughter are definitely two of a kind! It was time again for some family pictures, Miss K recently turned 4, Mr. C is about to turn 1 and is going to undergo heart surgery shortly after his first birthday. So we met up in downtown McKinney in July to grab some family and birthday pics. And anyone with kids these ages know how it is to photography them together…Mr. C was slow to start and by the time that we got him smiling Miss K told me that she was done. Despite the challenge, we got some great photos!

The Pringle Family | Dallas Family Photographer

I was so happy to meet this wonderful family. Mom and I go way back…WAY back…to middle school. We were good friends and we even shared a birthday! Mom and Dad both serve our country and we scheduled some family photo time while mom was on leave from Afganistan. I am very thankful for all they do for us, and very thankful that I got to finally meet her sweet family.

and we ended the session in the creek, which is the perfect way to end a hot summer session!

Rookie of the Year | Plano Newborn Photographer

I love every part of my job, I love making a toddler laugh, watching children grown into tweens and teenagers, I love being a part of your growing families. But it is no secret that my favorite part is snuggling those newborns during their sessions, watching a new family figure things out and witnessing a first time parents love for their brand new child.

This little slugger was no different, he made us wait until he was ready to start the session. He made his mom change a couple of time and the rug will be taken to the cleaners, all while dad stayed completely clean. But as you can see, all the waiting was worth it. He was a perfect angel for the last hour and allowed us to get some pretty amazing shots.

And you might be seeing triple, but you try to pick a favorite from these three….

Sweet Valentine | Plano Baby Photographer

I have known the mom of this little lady for quite some time now and was so happy to get to photograph Miss H for her 3 month pictures. These were a surprise for daddy, but since mom posted on her wall today, I thought it was safe to post on my blog. From the pictures that we actually got, you wouldn’t know that little Miss H was not all smiles for her session!

and then she fell asleep….

Happy Valentine’s Day!

My Family | Plano Family Photographer

Too often, when my family asks me to photograph some event or milestone, they get pushed to the back burner…I think I still have a CD of pictures from my nieces 14th birthday in my daughters old diaper bag… and she turned 15 this past September. But this year I was determined not to do that to any of my family, in fact, I was instigating the sessions. And now that all the gifts are delivered and Christmas Cards sent out, I thought I could share a few of my favorites!

The first session was for my in-laws. They needed a new picture of the grandkids since the last one was taked a year and a half ago.

My oldest niece brought a friend along and this quickly turned into a goofy, fun session. Everyone was laughing by the end!

My youngest sister came in from San Antonio for our second attempt to get some Christmas card pictures of her kids. This time we were way more successful.

My older sister brought her kids up one day, but these were a little more specific for her Christmas card.

But we went ahead and tried to capture some normal images….

and finally, we captured headshots for each of my nieces and nephews and my parents to create this Christmas card for them to send to their friends.

Trains and Guitars | Grapevine Family Photographer

Some of you might recognize this young man…he was my Rock Star Newborn and now he is two! He is very into trains so we met up at the Grapevine Train depot on a very cold day this December. He is very social and very strong willed. He knew exactly what he wanted to do and what he didn’t want to do.

I told his parents that when he has his first Album…I think these should be the cover :)
